Dr. Suliman A Giddo
President
Dr. Suliman A Giddo is a highly qualified professional with a diverse academic background. He holds a B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Khartoum and has pursued postgraduate studies in Humanitarian and Emergency Management from Fordham University in NY, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in English Language from Manchester, UK, and a Diploma in Public Administration from The School of Professional Management in Jersey, UK. His academic achievements also include a Master of Science in Management information systems from Strayer University in Richmond, postgraduate studies in Strategic Planning and Project Management from Stanford University in CA, and a Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution from George Mason University.
Dr. Giddo has held key roles in strategic planning and project management, notably contributing to the development of the Strategic Plan for the Ministry ( 2017-2022) while working at the Department of Strategic Planning at The Ministry of Interior in Qatar. He also worked at Qatar Foundation where he developed Disaster and Emergency plan for the Foundation. His experience also extends to political advisory work for the government of South Sudan, serving as a contractor for the State Department. Additionally, he has made significant contributions as a Senior Consultant for the UN joint mission for Darfur, where he played a pivotal role in drafting peace protocols that were integrated into the Darfur Peace Agreement.
Furthermore, Dr. Giddo has demonstrated a strong commitment to humanitarian causes, having founded and led Darfur Peace and Development, an organization dedicated to supporting communities affected by conflict in Sudan-Darfur and Chad. His efforts have positively impacted thousands of individuals, particularly students and women, through educational and income generation initiatives. Moreover, he has a rich background in disaster management, having served as the Chairman for Disaster Management at the American Red Cross in Virginia, USA.
In addition to his professional contributions, Dr. Giddo has been actively involved in academia, having taught as an adjunct at Indiana Business College and the Institute of Administration in Qatar. His extensive expertise and dedication to humanitarian causes have also led him to establish Sub-Saharan College, reflecting his commitment to the advancement of education and community development.
Dr. Giddo has authored several anonymous publications, addressing topics such as the effectiveness of the UN in protecting civilians and internally displaced persons, forgiveness in unresolved conflicts, as well as publications on conflict management and strategic planning.
Dr. Aisha Ibrahim
Provost
Dr.Aisha, the Provost, has been instrumental in the establishment of the College, working closely with the founder from its inception. She was the main point of contact with the Ministry of Higher Education for all administration processes, diligently securing program approvals and library resources. Aisha previously worked as an assistant professor in the Management Studies program at the College and held positions with the Darfur Transitional Government, the Ministry of Finance, and the government of South Darfur. She holds a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Omdurman University and a Masters in Small Business Development from Al-Ahliya College in Khartoum. The following individuals hold key positions at Sub-Saharan College.
Dr. Salih Saeid
Assistant Professor
Coordinator for The School of Management Studies
Dr. Salah has been the Coordinator of Management programs (Business Administration, Accounting, Banking, and Finance) since 2018. He played a significant role in developing the curriculum and establishing the department. Prior to joining the College, he served as an assistant Professor at the University of Omdurman and as an adjunct at the University of El Fasher, teaching accounting, auditing, and cost accounting. Dr. Salah also served as the director of the Institute of Accounting and Internal Auditors in North Darfur State. He holds a Ph.D. in Accounting from the University of Sudan University and a B.Sc. and Masters from University of Elfasher .
Dr. El hadi Ahmed Salih Arga
Assistant Professor
Coordinator for The School of Informatin Technology
Dr. Elhadi, the Coordinator of the Information Technology Program, made substantial contributions to developing the department. Before joining the college, he worked as an assistant professor at Tiyba College in Khartoum and where served as the Coordinator for the Information and Technology program. He also worked as the director for the Horn of Africa Center in Sudan and as an adjunct at Nile University. Dr. Elhad holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from The University of Al-Neelain.
Dr. Hawa Suliman
Coordinator for the Nursing Program
Dr. Hawa is the Coordinator of the Nursing Program and brings over two decades of experience in the field, with extensive teaching and practical experiences in hospitals and international organizations. She holds a degree from the University of Medical Science and Technology and an MBA from Sudan University. Her nursing education took place at The High Nursing College. Before joining Sub-Saharan College, she worked at El Fasher University, World Vision, and El Fasher Hospital.
Dr. Nuha Eljaili Abu-Baker
Nuha Eljaili Abu-Baker is an associate professor of Medical Laboratory Sciences at our College. She earned her Ph.D. in biochemistry from Sudan University of Sciences and Technology, in addition to a Master’s degree in Clinical Biochemistry. Currently, she serves as the head of the Department of Clinical Chemistry. Previously, she held the position of deputy head of the Department of Central Laboratory and Blood Bank at Alno Teaching Hospital.
Eng. Mutasim Mohamed
Lecturer & IT developer
Eng. Mutasim is Graduated from Sudan University of Science and Technology in Sudan with a Master’s degree in Software Engineering. He joined the college since July 2018 during its establishment. He is a lecturer at the college and a developer of electronic systems at the college.
Isra Ibrahim Gabir
Coordinator of the Computer Network program
Isra serves as the Coordinator of the Computer Network program. She has been a teaching assistant since 2022 and previously held the same role at the University of Science and Technology in Khartoum. Isra graduated from the University of Science and Technology with a Master’s degree focusing on digital software and computer programming.
