Access Without Barriers
At Sub-Saharan University College (SUC), we believe that financial hardship should never prevent talented and determined students from accessing higher education. For many years, SUC has been committed to expanding educational opportunities for students affected by conflict, displacement, poverty, and humanitarian crises.
A significant proportion of our students come from internally displaced persons (IDP) communities, including Zamzam, Abu Shouk, Kassab, and Kalma camps in Darfur. Our scholarship program has also expanded to support eligible students from refugee communities in Eastern Chad.
Through our Scholarship and Financial Support Program, SUC has provided educational assistance to hundreds of students, helping them continue their academic journey and develop the skills needed to rebuild their communities.

Scholarship Categories
Financial Need Scholarships
Designed for students whose families cannot meet educational costs. Assessed based on family income, displacement status, and economic factors.
Displaced & Refugee Support
Special consideration for eligible students from IDP camps in Darfur and refugee communities in Eastern Chad.
Orphan Support Scholarships
Available for orphaned students and those who have lost parental support and face barriers accessing university education.
Academic Excellence
Recognizing students demonstrating exceptional academic performance, dedication, and potential for ongoing achievement.
Community Service & Leadership
Honoring students active in volunteer activities, humanitarian initiatives, and local community service.
Ministry Nominated Scholarships
Supporting eligible students nominated or referred through the Ministry of Higher Education in accordance with funding availability.

When Can Students Apply?
